Growing and Changing

I first met Raychel when she was 9 years old. This was the time when Nathan and I  would buy her sidewalk chalk and paint by number art sets. Time has passed and my sister-in-law is now 16 and has her license! Yikes!

In 2010, I started exploring photography again and Raychel was one of my first models. I look at these pictures and see tons of mistakes. My lighting is horrible and I went a little overboard in editing. However, it is always fun to look back at my earlier work to see the improvements that I have made. It is also fun to look back and see how much Raychel has grown. With everything changing, one thing has remained consistant…the camera loves Raychel.

Nathan and I asked Raychel what she would like for her 16th birthday. She replied with, “A photo-shoot would be awesome and to just spend time with you and Jodi on the weekend.” DONE! We drove to Waco (it is actually the town of Lorena, a smaller town south of Waco) and we spent some QT with Raychel. She picked out her outfit and we were ready to shoot.

Happy Birthday Raychel! You are a gorgeous and talented individual. You are equipped to do some amazing things in life, I just know it. Love you tons!
