Nathan and I flew into San Antonio Friday afternoon and started our mini road trip to Fredericksburg,Texas aka Hill Country. It is such a neat town filled with vineyards, orchards, and restaurants…and hills! Go figure! It was my first time there and I certainly didn’t feel like I was in Texas.
I was so honored when Melissa asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. When I moved to Dallas from New York, Melissa was one of my first friends. We hit it off right away and only lived 2 blocks from each other! We have spent many nights full of dancing and many days full of pool volleyball together. Melissa soon met Patrick and was very much in love. He is a great guy and I couldn’t have picked a better match for her. They ended up moving to Houston, TX and Nathan and I moved to NY. We only get to see each other a few times a year but I am so glad to call her a friend. I wish her and Patrick a lifetime of happiness, love, and laughter.
The night before the big day, Patrick’s mom hosted a lovely rehearsal dinner at the Hoffman Haus which was the Bed and Breakfast that we stayed at. The tables were gorgeous and the food was amazing. There also was a lot of love in that room.
Melissa’s sister made a bouquet that was made of brooches. It was very pretty. Melissa used it at the rehearsal.
Waiting behind “closed” doors before the ceremony. First Dance 🙂

The next morning at the Hoffman Haus, we were delivered breakfast in a picnic basket to our room. Loved it!
After breakfast, we said our goodbyes and headed back to San Antonio. We had a few hours before our flight so we stopped at the River Walk and Market Square. The weather was perfect and it was a great way to end our busy weekend.
