My Life Mainly Revolves Around Food

The time is almost here! We will be packing up the U-Haul tomorrow. I am not looking forward to the 25 hour road trip but I am looking forward to some of the stops we have planned along the way. To go along the bitter sweet feeling of our road trip, I decided to make a list of the things I will miss about New York and the things I look forward to in Texas.

Things I Will Miss About New York

  • Bagels
  • Pizza
  • Ralph’s Italian Ice
  • Smith Point Beach
  • Enjoying the East River views while sipping on some wine
  • Quality people watching
  • Hearing about 4 different languages as you wait in line to buy your lunch
  • Hearing and seeing party boats/tour boats go pass our apartment window
  • Opera singer that lives above us
  • Having dessert delivered
  • Fresh pasta and butchers
  • Delis
  • Pumpkin picking in a real pumpin patch while eating fresh roasted corn
  • Trees and the beautiful season that is called autumn
  • Main transportation = walking

Above: Egg everything bagel with bacon, egg and cheese
Below: Large pie with pepperoni and basil

Things I Am Looking Forward To In Texas

  • Using my rubber return address stamp again
  • Having a garbage disposal
  • Doing laundry in the next room vs having to leave our apartment
  • Counter space in the kitchen
  • Space in general
  • Playing softball with my peeps
  • Grilling Steak
  • Chips and salsa
  • That southern hospitality
  • Waving to random people because it is the polite thing to do
  • Wearing a T-shirt in December
  • Going to Dallas Maverick games
  • Fried chicken with WHITE gravy
