With every session I shoot, I have two main goals:
GOAL # 1- Be able to provide you with lifestyle photography pieces that you can display in your home and will cherish for a lifetime.
You may ask, “What is lifestyle photography?” Well trusty, Wikipedia defines it as,
This means that I want to portray you/your children/your family just the way they are. If your family likes to run around and play tag, I want to capture that. If your children like to make silly faces, I want to capture that. If your child likes to read, I want to capture that. These are the memories that you will have about your family. Why not show them in a visual format? These photographs have energy, emotion, and character.
Once these memories are captured, it is time to print and display them. You may want to display them in a book, hanging on the walls, in a frame on your desk, etc.
GOAL # 2 – Provide you with a fun and relaxing experience.
If you and your family are having a great time, you will be able to see that in the photographs. I have a relaxed approach which I hope for you to have as well. Nothing makes for worse pictures when mom and dad are stressed. Stressed parents = stressed kids. Don’t worry if a strand of hair is out of place. Have fun!
So when I get a hand written thank you card after a session, I know I am on the right track. I know that my clients are happy and they are walking away with great memories that they can hold in their hands. Thank you for the lovely card, Sara. That was very sweet of you.
