“The idea of getting half-naked in a hotel room with a stranger isn’t something that was ever on my bucket list. ”
~ Arena from The Nerd’s Wife
I think the majority of women do not have a boudoir session on their bucket list. It may be because you never thought to do one or because you “need to lose some extra pounds.” Whatever the reason is, perhaps you should throw it out the window! Let your hair down, strap on those heels, and have the experience of a boudoir session.
Meet Arena! She is a mother, wife, and blogger.
I interviewed Arena about her experience. Check out what she had to say:
What do you love about your body?
I’m pretty self-conscious about my body, but I think my greatest assets are my chest and legs. I also love that my body made a baby — despite all its flaws, it produced a miracle!
Why did you want to do a Boudoir Shoot?
I thought this would be a fun experience and would be something my husband I could treasure for years to come.
How did you feel about being semi-naked in front of the camera?
At first, it was really awkward! But it was also very freeing — I soon found myself having the time of my life! Jodi made things very comfortable and by the end of the shoot, I felt like I was goofing off with a friend!
How did you feel after seeing the photos we created?
I was shocked — in a good way! I kept asking if that was actually MY body — it was! I’d never seen myself like that before. I felt beautiful and strong and sexy.
Who are the photos for?
They were a birthday present for my husband.
What did you take away from this experience?
Every woman should have this done! Even if you don’t love your body — especially if you don’t love your body — you’ll look at yourself in a whole new way after the shoot. Jodi has a way of emphasizes your assets and downplaying the things you aren’t proud of and making you look (and feel!) like a sexy temptress!
